|| Why Organic ||

Consumers are looking for reasons to eat healthier and they want more information about where their food comes from and how it was produced. There are hundreds of reasons to choose certified organic over conventional products, but we’ve narrowed it down to the top 15 reasons to eat organic.

1. ORGANIC KEEP GMOS OUT OF OUR FOOD Not only does the organic certification ensure there are no harmful chemicals on our food, it also guarantees that they are not GMOs. Among other things, GMOs are often engineered to be used in conjunction with a single harmful chemical, such as Round Up or Agent Orange. Therefore, shopping organic is taking a stance against the large chemical producing corporations that have polluted the world’s food and fields.

2. Health Cleaner food means cleaner diets which leads to a cleaner bill of health. No artificial preservatives, colors or flavors are allowed in organic food. Fewer than 40 synthetic substances can be used in organic packaged foods, and only after they have been reviewed by independent and government experts. By contrast, thousands of chemicals can be added to conventional packaged foods, including preservatives, flavors and colors linked to health problems. The issues with these synthetics additives that are found in processed conventional foods is that they are targeted at children and parents. These chemically addictive additives lead to many health problems. The hidden cost in this “cheap” food is the fees Indian’s are paying with their health. From diabetes to obesity, to ADHD, the food-related diseases are at an all-time high. As the New York Times recently put it, “Our Food Is Killing Us.”

3. Soil Health Organic farming creates healthy soil. Healthy soil creates healthy food and a healthy environment. Healthy soil is the basis for organic agriculture. Organic farmers use natural organic fertilizers and soil amendments like organic matter (things you can compost), green manures (cover crops grown specifically for soil improvement, e.g. legumes), and animal manures (with safety restrictions) to build healthy soil. When food is grown in healthy soil, crops are better able to resist disease, survive drought, and tolerate insects.

4. Nutrition Organic food contains more vitamins, minerals, enzymes and micronutrients than conventionally raised food.

5. Food Future As consumers we have three votes per day for our food future. Although organic is the largest growing sector in the food industry. The more consumers demand organic, the more readily it will be made available in larger supply. Organic farmers couldn’t grow produce fast enough to supply the retailer so we decided to lend money to farmers to buy land and equipment to grow more organic produce.

6. Sewage Sludge Sewage sludge is a product of wastewater treatment and contains numerous known and unknown hazardous materials – including everything that is flushed into the sewer system. Once treated, sewage sludge can be applied to agricultural cropland as fertilizer – meaning, this chemical soup that is often full of toxic compounds, nanomaterial, hormones and dangerous pathogens, are applied to the very food we eat. But not on organic food! Organic products are managed according to defined processes for planting, growing, raising and handling. A very important part of the process-based regulatory framework is the prohibition of certain methods in organic production and handling.

7. Irradiation Irradiated food is exposed to an intense ionizing radiation. This is done in a processing room for a specified duration. With food irradiation, radiant energy (electrons, gamma rays or x-rays) breaks chemical bonds and the intention is to reduce microorganisms. The concern is that radiation is known to cause cancer.

8. Climate Change The primary benefit of organic crop and livestock production, compared to conventional agriculture, is that it is focused on soil-based production with underlying principles of maintaining or improving soil quality. Healthy soil counteracts climate change by pulling carbon out of the atmosphere. This is similar to how native ecosystems, including prairies and forests, act as carbon sinks in nature.

9. Farmworkers Farmworkers are at great risk for exposure to agricultural pesticides and the adverse health impacts that can occur as a result. Neighbors are also at risk for exposure through pesticide drift if they live near a big farm or a conventionally managed park or playing field. Pesticide drift is a threat to human health as well as to wildlife and ecosystems.
In 2018, the Organic Center released a report that details the impacts of the conventional use of synthetic pesticides on farmer and farmworker health – and how organic can be used as a model to decrease the exposure of this important part of our society.
A recent study published in Environmental Research adds evidence to a larger body of research showing that eating organic very well may reduce pesticides in the human body. The study found that families eating a 100 percent organic diet rapidly and dramatically reduced their exposure to four classes of pesticides—by an average of 60 percent—over six days.

10. Environment Organic farming practices result in numerous environmental benefits.

  • Organic farming rebuilds soil health and stops harmful chemicals from getting into our water supplies. Water and soil are two extremely important resources necessary for growing food.
  • Organic farmers don’t rely on non-renewable oil-based fertilizers and pesticides we may not always have access to.
  • Organic farming results in greater biodiversity.
  • Organic farming releases fewer greenhouse gas emissions.

11. Water Its only solution is to use nutritious manure of cow dung, cow urine and leaf by adopting India’s traditional soil nutrition policy. We do not forget that India’s long culture, which is known for millions of years, has never been less fertile in the earth until the chemical fertilization was promoted in the last few decades and its import was indiscriminately. Farmers from the fields of cow dung etc. are increasing their yields from era and era. This would have a widespread impact if the government stopped imports of harmful chemical fertilizers and encouraged the farmers to cultivate indigenous fertilizers. By not doing this, there will be the same situation of Indian agriculture which is happening in China’s agriculture. To make organic farming, the farmer has to follow the cows so that the availability of dung and cow urine can be made to make organic manure.
To make pest control for one acre land, we need 20 liters of domestic cow cow urine 3 to 5 kg fresh green neem leaf or nimoli, 2.500 kg fresh green figure leaves, 2500 kg of bhel leaves fresh green, 2.500 fresh Green leaves of green peas, grind all these leaves and grind them in a fine kilogram and boil it by making chutney and adding 20 times water to it, prepare the kit or controller, by pumping it on a standing crop. And spraying, any worms that harm the crop will end but the crop will not be damaged in any way.

12. Pest control Take 5 liters of domestic cow’s whey. Add 3 kg of neem leaf or 2 kg neem coconut and fry it for 40 days, then add 5 liters of water to 150-200 liters of water and sprinkle the worm / juice sucking insects on one acre of the crop.

  • Benefits from organic farming
  • Benefits of Farmers
  • The fertile capacity of the land increases.
  • Irrigation intervals increase.
  • Reduced dependence on chemical fertilizers reduces costs.
  • Increase in productivity of crops
  • Benefits of soil
  • The use of organic manure improves the quality of land.
  • The water holding potential of the land increases.
  • Evaporation of water will reduce water.
  • Environmental benefits
  • The water level of the land increases.

13. Better overall health Eating organic can reduce your risk of cancer because organic food is not produced or processed by the use of chemical pesticides or chemical fertilizers, it does not contain any elements of toxic chemicals and may not affect human health in harmful ways. The use of natural techniques such as green manure to fertilize the lands and crop rotation in pest and disease control work absolutely well in producing safer, healthier, and smellier final food products. Besides, healthy foodstuff simply means healthy people and better nourishment for a better living for both people and animals.

14. Better taste Apart from nutrition, the mineral and sugar structures in organic foods are tasty because the crops are given more time to develop and mature. The use of natural and environmentally friendly agricultural production techniques is revealed to be the reason for the better taste in organic food products. It is commonly reported that the taste of organic vegetables and fruits are of higher quality compared to those that are conventionally grown.

Looking at the problems faced by the farmers, problem of increased cost of Agriculture VS the economical return, problem of not getting the right and proper market place for the organic produce, the increasing pollution, retorted ecological balance, increasing adulteration in food products, and to provide a healthy substitute to all conscious and aware customers at an economical cost, we started promoting and spreading the Ancient art of Organic Agriculture as a way of farming, We trained farmers about organic farming and helped them switch to organic farming from conventional , We worked as a connecting link between the organic farmers and the end consumers, we formed a platform in the name of ‘ Parampara Organic ®‘ not only where the organic producers and consumers can meet but also in this effort, We launched an array of organic certified products in fact whole organic kitchen basket available in all leading stores in India and across the world to provide Organic Healthy food at economical rates for the benefit of all.

While working on holistic organic agriculture and production management system which promotes and enhances agro-ecosystem health, and soils biological activity, treating farm as a living entity which avoids use of chemical/ synthetic inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides, hormones, feed additives, decreases the cost of production, relies on crop rotations, crop residues waste, off farm organic waste and animal manures as inputs and encourages bio-diversity, energy and water conservation, minimization of waste & prevention of chemical pollution which is vital to healthy living and for a green planet fit for future. In a nutshell we work with a vision of Healthy Soil, Healthy Food, Healthy Life and Healthy Environment.

THE FARMS : Our farmers are carefully chosen and trained to work towards practicing environment-friendly farming techniques. From the chemical-free soil to the grains being hand-picked – everything you see is organically farmed to give you the highest quality product. We check the soil quality, cropping pattern, prevalent crop rotation and the nutrient levels in the soil. While doing this, we ensure that the chosen region has suitable weather and temperature conditions. We follow a series of practices like soil fertility management, seed collection, biodiversity, composting, water management, crop rotation and protection which are extremely efficient and regenerative in nature.

THE FACTORY : With a combination of traditional and state-of-the-art machinery, we have an effective yet efficient way of functioning. All products are stored in a hygienic and C02 fumigated environment for infestation control. We believe that the food value chain needs to transform from a production-driven system, to a demand-based one. In order to do so, the producers have to be connected directly to the consumers. This is a win-win for both, the producer and the consumer, because the consumer is also curious about where the food on his plate is coming from, whether it was responsibly grown, how it gets transported before reaching the point of sale, and the shelf life to ensure its safe for consumption & we provide you as final products are of the highest quality, pure and natural.

THE KITCHEN : You can enjoy food that is hygienically packed and retains all the benefits of organic food, without any chemical interference. We’ve always been supportive of food that is more tasty, nutritious and holistic. Having seen the highest numbers when it comes to customers talking about the benefit of shifting to a more organic diet, we believe it’s time for a change and that time is now!
